Celebrate the birth of a new child in your family with our Kids Go Green Baby program for newborn through 12 months. As your child grows and begins to learn money basics, Kids Go Green Jr. offers hands-on learning with tasks and goal-setting for kids ages 1-kindergarten. Finally, our Kids Go Green program gets first-eighth graders involved in the community with money saving and locally-focused missions.

Kids Go Green Baby

If you have a Statement Savings Account in your baby’s name with a balance of at least $25, mention Kids Go Green Baby and we’ll deposit $25 into their account. This is a one-time offer for your baby’s bank account that is available between newborn and 12 months old. Congratulations on your growing family!*

Account Requirements

A Bank of Washington Statement Savings account in your child's name is required for participation.
Minor children must have a parent or legal guardian as a joint account owner. We will ask to see the minor child's Social Security card to open an account.
An opening deposit of $25.00 or more will start a Statement Savings Account. Simple interest is calculated daily and paid quarterly. Existing statement savings accounts are eligible.

Kids Go Green Jr.

Age

One-year-old through kindergarten.

Earn $10
Pick up a Bank of Washington Kids Go Green Jr. piggy bank from any of our branch locations and have your child color the bank at home. If you bring it back to one of our six locations, we’ll deposit $10 into his or her Bank of Washington Statement Savings account.* (One time only per calendar year.)

Earn $20
We reward your child for filling their Kids Go Green Jr. piggy bank. Once they have $20, bring it to any branch location to deposit the bills and coins into their Statement Savings Account and we’ll match the deposit with another $20.* (One time only per calendar year.)

The Bank of Washington offers a one-time matching deposit of up to $30. Simply fill up your Bank of Washington green piggy bank and bring it into any of our six branches to deposit into your Statement Savings account. We’ll match your child’s deposit, up to $30. (One time only per calendar year.)

Give back to the community! Encourage your child to donate their time, toy, or talent to a nonprofit organization. When you visit one of our branches with proof of your child’s participation or contribution, we’ll deposit an extra $10 into their account. (One time only per calendar year.)

Save more by being a good student! When your child brings in their report card with one or more A’s or B’s (or equivalent) on it, we will deposit an extra $10 into their account!** (One time only per calendar year.)

Make a thank you card to show appreciation! It could be for anyone special in your life or the community, such as a teacher, first responder, police officer, firefighter, veteran, family member or friend! Thank you notes are a great opportunity to teach gratitude and good manners, plus they help us appreciate what we have. Simply show us the thank you card and we will deposit an extra $10 into your child’s account! (One time only per calendar year.)
