Pat Coulter Earns CRCM Accreditation

Washington, MO – Pat Coulter, Senior Vice President Deposit Operations/Compliance and Bank Secrecy Act Officer, of the Bank of Washington, recently attained the Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) accreditation from the Institute of Certified Bankers, a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association.

The CRCM accreditation is the nationally recognized certification standard of excellence for regulatory compliance professionals working in the financial services area whose primary function and expertise focus on the application, implementation and maintenance of relevant federal and state regulatory requirements.  To qualify for the CRCM certification, individuals must have a minimum of three years of experience as a compliance professional, a minimum of 80 hours of compliance lead training, abide by a code of ethics, and pass an exam.  The CRCM exam covers regulatory requirements as they relate to credit, deposits, securities, privacy, and safety and soundness of bank operations.  Following the successful completion of the exam, CRCMs must fulfill the certification requirements by completing 60 additional credits of applicable training in a three-year period.

Coulter joined the Bank of Washington in 1974.  Since then, she has had experience with multiple retail and operational responsibilities, marketing, retail management, branch administration, compliance and risk management.  In addition to the CRCM certification, Coulter is also recognized internationally by financial institutions, governments and regulators through her Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) accreditation.  CAMS is the gold standard in Anti-Money Laundering certifications and displays a serious commitment to protecting the financial system against money laundering and other financial crimes.

She is a St. Francis Borgia alum, has attended East Central College and graduated from Missouri School of Bank Management.  She is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association School of Bank Marketing and Management, American Bankers Association School of Compliance, and Graduate School of Banking, Boulder, Colorado.  Additionally, Coulter has obtained the Independent Community Bankers Association BSA Officer Certification.

Coulter is a member of St. Francis Borgia Parish and also serves as a member of the Washington Optimist Club, was a past board member of Exceptional Equestrians and is active in other civic functions.  She and her husband Steve reside in Washington.
